Oprah Winfrey had quite a shaky start during her wellness tour in Los Angeles on Saturday February 29. The 66-year-old media mogul took a hard fall on stage while ironically talking about balance. The message of a board behind her read, "Wellness: All things in balance." Before tumbling on stage, Oprah Winfrey was heard saying; "Here’s my definition of what wellness means to me… Wellness to me means all things in balance. And balance doesn’t mean all things are equal or at peace at all times." After a stage assistant rushed to help her up as the shock among the audience turned into a supportive applause, Oprah quipped; "Wrong shoes!" 
She thereafter ditched heels and opted to go barefoot for a while before switching into a more comfortable option. Resuming her speech, Oprah said; "Thank you so much. She revealed that she got to know that her husband was cheating on her after his side chick she boarded same taxi with, narrated how "her man" lied to his wife that he was going for a misssion. President Buhari has ordered the probe of some security operatives who released 295 smuggled fuel tankers at the land borders in December 2019, without due authorization. President Buhari's spokesperson, Femi Adesina who confirmed the launch of the probe in a statement he released on Saturday February 29, accused the security operatives of sabotaging the effort of the federal government. It is expected that security officials found guilty of conniving to undermine government’s effort, will be withdrawn from the border drill and severely sanctioned. The statement reads in part; “The border drill has been hugely successful and has led to the interception and seizure of large quantities of foods, materials, minerals and petroleum resources illegally trafficked across our borders. The President commends the security agencies for a job well done,” the statement read.“He, however, finds it disheartening to learn that 295 smuggled petroleum tankers were released without due authorization on 17th December, 2019 by some security officials charged with the responsibility of protecting our borders.“Sequel to this act, the National Security Adviser (NSA) was directed to set up a Board of Inquiry to investigate the crime, and it was recommended to the President that all officials (civilian or security operatives) found to have connived to undermine government’s efforts should be withdrawn from the border drill and severely sanctioned by their respective organizations.“The President has accepted the recommendations and directed the immediate withdrawal and replacement of all those found culpable. He has also directed that their respective organizations should mete immediate appropriate disciplinary actions to them.” Recall that after the closure of Nigeria's land borders in August 2019, the federal government directed that petroleum products should not be supplied to fuel stations within 20 kilometers of the borders.The post

Veteran singer, Zaaki Azzay, has alleged that the Nigerian music industry as of today, is driven by investments from drug barons and Internet fraudsters also known as Yahoo Boys. When asked to rate new generation singers, the Benue state-born said some Nigerian artistes are talented but lack good content. According to him, ''singers who are not really talented, come into the industry with money gotten from drugs or blood money and they just make so much noise.'' He alleged that some musicians are using music as coverup for their drug business. Right now, it is not about getting a good song, or whether your video is good or your song is nice. It is not about that anymore it’s about how much money you can spend to promote a song. Most of the people who have this type of money are into ‘Yahoo’ or blood money. Media personality, Abike Olawuni has called out her stepfather over the continous alleged physical assault he has subjected her mother to. Abike who cried out for help on Instagram, claimed that her father recently assaulted her mother even though she just had a second baby for him through C-section. The distraught media personality stated that she doesn't want to sit back and watch her mother die in the hands of a "wicked man". She wrote; I do not see myself doing this years to come but I kept occurring and it's really breaking me knowing that my mum is not in safe hands and it possible she might die in this situation that she finds herself in. my has been suffering domestic violence from my step dad for years now and I've been trying to fight for her but people kept saying I'm doing too much that it's in no way my business but she is dying how am I suppose to watch her die in the hands of a wicked man. the last one which happened last night was really disheartening meanwhile my recently just had her 2nd baby for him through operation,he still had the gut to beat her till started bleeding.we ran to the police station near us they didn't open the gate we stood there for over and hour no one came to her rescue.She went back day break to report they happened to know him when they called him,they swiped it under the ground like it was nothing serious. She is already packing out,the heart breaking part is knowing we do not have anywhere to go from here,along side her 2years old baby and weeks old baby plus me.He doesn't even care he kept saying it that she should leave with the child whenever he is angry he flings Akorede who happens to be the first child my mum had for him. please at this point I need help,I have been trying to work hard to ensure this suffering doesn't last forever but it now looks like God is behind this.

Professor Akin Abayomi, the Lagos state Commissioner for Health, has given an update on on the treatment of the Italian man diagnosed with Coronavirus in the state. At a press conference held on Saturday afternoon, the Commissioner said the Italian patient has been moved to the state's completed ward which was recently renovated with full complement of facilities. This comes hours after Punch's report claimed the man threatened to escape from the ward because of the poor living condition.I have spoken to him myself, he is doing very well, he is comfortable; he was comfortable yesterday and he is comfortable today. He was initially kept in a single isolation room for his privacy when he was brought in because part of the facilities at the Mainland Hospital were being renovated, he has been moved to one of the newly renovated wards'' he said The commissioner added that the Italian patient is recuperatingAs of this morning, his condition has improved, he hasn’t developed new symptoms but he still got a mild fever and we will be running test to see what the situation is with the virus in his body and as soon as we get a negative screen, we will keep him for another 2-3 days and repeat the test to make sure that there are no more virus particles in his saliva and that means that he will not be contagious. The Nigerian government has warned vendors across the country against increasing the price of face mask and sanitizer. In a statement released on Saturday February 29 by Babatunde Iruekera who is the Chief Executive Officer of the Federal Competition & Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC), vendors were told that abusing citizens’ sensitivity, apprehension, anxiety and vulnerability, especially during emergencies that could adversely affect national security is a violation of law. Vendors were also told that they risk getting prosecuted if they use the confirmation of coronavirus in Nigeria as an excuse to increase the price of the protective items. The statements reads in part; “Any conspiracy, combination, agreement or arrangement to unduly limit or manipulate supply, in order to unreasonably enhance price or otherwise restrain competition is a criminal offence under S.108(1)(b) and (c), FCCPA. “Any exercise or exploitation of undue pressure in selling or the sale of goods or services, or price manipulation between displayed, and selling price are also serious violations of the FCCPA under Sections 115(3) and 124(1).“Taking advantage of the possibility of infection by a dangerous communicable disease to control supply, or unilaterally increase prices is predatory as it preys on the desperation of citizens.“Considering the circumstances and the vital national interest/security this illegal conduct undermines, the Commission intends to strongly enforce the full letter of the law, including the fullest extent of penalties associated with this conduct.”

Former England/Liverpool footballer Daniel Sturridge is suing his former landlords for racial discrimination after finding a Netflix account that was labelled “n****r”. and is seeking damages totalling £100,000.. Sturridge rented a mansion of Alan O’Neill and his wife Katie 2018 when he played for Liverpool and was paying a whooping £18,500-a-month for the house. Sturridge and his girlfriend Jamilla were 'deeply upset' when they opened a netflix account and it was labelled 'ni****' , but the landlord says the account belonged to his11-year-old child who was a fan of rap music. 
Court documents filed at Manchester county court seen by the Times show that Sturridge discovered the Netflix account on November 24 and moved out on February 14.His landlord ensured Sturridge paid outstanding rent up to the end of the yearly agreement by issuing a statutory demand for £67,000 at the county court, which Sturridge paid in July 2019 but days later Sturridge and his partner filed a separate claim for £100,000 for “special damages in respect of the defendants’ discrimination against them and/or harassment of them on the grounds of their race” contrary to the Equality Act.The landlord has apologized to Sturridge and his partner but the case is still in court. According to a new report, Filmmaker Tyler Perry, has received the results of a new autopsy he ordered to be carried out on his nephew Gavin Porter who died on Tuesday night in a prison cell.Tyler's nephew, Gavin Porter, 26, was serving a 20-year-sentence for shooting his father dead in front of his mother, who is Tyler Perry's sister, and on Tuesday night was found hanging in his cell from a bedsheet. The prison officials say he committed suicide but Tyler Perry was having none of it and hired Dr. Michael Baden, a famed pathologist who has been involved in numerous cases, including JFK, O.J. Simpson, and Jeffery Epstein to perform a second autopsy and determine the cause of death of his nephew.According the a new report by TMZ, Perry has now gotten the second autopsy report from Dr Baden and it confirms he died by suicide.''Tyler tells TMZ ... they got the autopsy results back from Dr. Michael Baden -- the world-renowned pathologist he hired to look into 26-year-old Gavin Porter's death in a Louisiana prison. We're told Baden says he's 98 percent sure there was no foul play in Porter's death.
