Woman suspected of burning down Wendy's restaurant where Rayshard Brooks was killed, has been arrested Â

Natalie White, the woman suspected of burning down the Atlanta Wendy's fast-food restaurant where Rayshard Brooks was fatally shot by police, has been arrested.  Police issued an arrest warrant for her on June 20 and shared surveillance footage of her inside a store.  White was taken into custody on Tuesday June 23, by Fulton County sheriff's fugitive unit. She's been charged with first-degree arson. The Wendy's was set alight during a protest the night of June 13, one day after Brooks was killed and White is believed to be one suspect involved in setting fire to the Wendy's, although White's lawyer, Drew Findling, said his client did not start the fire.      View this post on Instagram         Angry protesters set fire to the Wendy's where police killed a black Atlanta man On Saturday night, angry protesters set fire to the Wendy's fast-food restaurant in Atlanta, Georgia, where police fatally shot and killed Rayshard Brooks, the black man who investigators say grabbed an officer's taser and pointed it as he fled from police. The protesters surrounded the restaurant and later made their way to Interstate 75/85 bringing traffic to a standstill.A post shared by Lindaikejiblog (@lindaikejiblogofficial) on Jun 14, 2020 at 2:51am PDT  There were also questions as to whether White knew Brooks, who mentioned a Natalie White during his interrogation with the police before he was killed.  When asked by CNN whether his client knew Rayshard Brooks, Findling said, "Yes, but I will not comment on the extent of their relationship." Lawyers for Brooks' family said they were "unaware of any connection between Natalie White and Rayshard' Rayshard Brooks, a black man was shot by a white Atlanta police officer in the parking lot of a Wendy's restaurant earlier this month after officers responded to a call about a man who was asleep in his car, obstructing the drive-thru lane. After failing a sobriety test, Brooks resisted arrest and a struggle over a taser ensued between three men.
