An influencer and her six-month-old baby were tied up and held at knifepoint in a £400,000 robbery, after flaunting valuables on social media. So Mei-yan, 25, went through the terrifying ordeal at her Hong Kong home, when six men barged into her home. They tied her and her baby up then tied up her 45-year-old carer as well, while rummaging through the house on Tuesday morning, December 1, at 11am. After pushing the three into one room, the robbers fled with nearly half a million pounds of goods. Local Chinese media reports she said she had been "woken up by noise in the living room," and that "when I went out of my bedroom to check, three men were already inside my flat." In a statement released by the police, it read: "As the doorbell rang, the maid opened the door and three men rushed into the unit." Mei-yan had been sleeping in the master bedroom while her son was with the carer in the living room, reports The Sun. When the robbers came in, they rubbed her son's head which prompted her to tell them to stop and take whatever they want. The three were then tied up with adhesive tape and pushed into the room with one robber, who kept watch while the other two ransacked the place. However, they became increasingly frustrated when they could not find cash and punched Mei-yan in the face, she says. She added: "One of them returned and pulled my hair asking where I put my money." In the end they took luxury items. Police said, "Ten handbags, seven watches, a laptop computer, and two mobile phones were stolen in the incident. "The haul is worth about HK$3.6 million." The robbers were captured on CCTV cameras and are thought to have planned the attack. After the robbery, Mei-yan said: "I never beat my son, but [the robbers] dared to beat him. Let's see what will happen. "I already gave them everything they wanted but they still beat me, my helper and my son. "The three men are so useless that they can only rob women and kids. "They even beat a six-month-old baby boy, how shameless are they?" She also blamed her building's management company and said: "I've told the security guards 10 million times not to let anyone in without my permission. "But they still allowed these three weird men in caps and masks to go upstairs."The post Influencer and her baby tied and held at knifepoint as robbers invaded her home after she flaunted valuables on social media appeared first on Linda Ikeji Blog.
